Warm and sunny. light southwest winds were not moving any snow on any of the highest ridgelines
Snowpack
On a north-facing slope below treeline, the snowpack depth ranged between 120-140 centimeters. The upper snowpack is right-side up from fist to 1 finger hard,but is sitting on an obvious layer of 2mm buried surface hoar about 30-40 cm below the surface that produces propagating results with 11-13 taps in extended column tests. The crust/facet combination from 11/22 is visible but remains unreactive at 60 cm from the ground. The mid and lower snowpack continue to show rounding grains and unreactive ECT's
Avalanche
Two large avalanches seen that likely ran in the afternoon of 12/19 on the easterly facing slopes of Table Mountain, northwest of Creede
