Weather

Skies were clear with a slight SW breeze and crisp temperatures until 10:30. At 07:00 Scotch Creek telemetry reported -4 F. Temperatures soared into the high 30's by 12:00. Beautiful spring day in the San Juans.

Snowpack

Snowpack depth ranged from 165 to 195 cm in snowpit location. 1" of new snow quickly melted with direct sunlight and the recent dust layer became obvious. Snowpack contained fewer crust/near surface facets layers than expected. Compression tests did not yield results.
