Snowpack
Below treeline on the ESE aspect the snow was supportive to skis but not boots. There was a 1cm sun crust in canopy clearings over the most recent snowfall last week. A 32cm 4-finger to 1-finger hard midpack lies on top of a 23cm layer of loose facets. No results from an ECT. The block popped out on a PST 31/100 end on the layer of loose facets near the ground (at 27cm). No cracking or collapsing while touring.
