Sunny day with temperatures around freezing. Winds were calm except near ridgetop, where they were light and out of the west.
Snowpack
I traveled on south to southeast to east aspects near and above treeline. On south to southeast aspects, the top several centimeters of the snowpack was wet, with a little bit of moist snow below that. East aspects remained dry. I dug on a southeast aspect above treeline, and found several MFcr with cold snow in between. About 40cm below the surface there is a layer of rounding facets sandwiched between two of these MFcr. I had moderate, propagating ECT results on this layer. See snowpit profile for more detail.
