Weather
Decent freeze, probably more from Radiational cooling then actual low temps. We did not have a thermometer. At dusk it looked like there was some dust or smoke aloft. Temps warmed rapidly today but winds likely helped snowpack keep from fully falling apart, and you might say it was a tad breezy.
Snowpack
Good surface freeze, especially out of the trees. Snowpack was sporty. We got back to car by two. Getting punchy. The heat and dirt are not doing any favors to a rapidly vanishing snowpack
Avalanche
1 @ LWNR1D1.5 ran to ground. 12,200’ on N aspect, ran about 150 vertical 1@ LWNR1D1.5 ran on old snow. 13,200’ on E aspect. Ran maybe 200 vertical, hard to tell. Both ran in the last week. Many sign of large old slabs from the past winter.
