Snowpack
Northeast-facing slope at 11200 ft. Near-treeline or upper end of BTL. 18 to 20 inch slab progressively harder with depth. Consistent failures in propagation tests with moderate force on small facets on top of faceted yet harder lower snowpack. The weak facets at about 45 cm down is four-finger hardness. Depth hoar layers near the bottom were generally harder and less concerning than mid-pack layer.
