12,200' on the East side of Weston Pass. The slope was Eastern facing and we were out the afternoon after a storm that deposited a few inches of snow. Very windy conditions.
Snowpack
Snowpack was wind drifted on the slope.
Avalanche
Avalanche broke as the third skier in our group descended a face that we had determined had the capacity to slide. There was a convex which had thinner coverage and that was the trigger point. Slabs broke off in various sizes. The skier was able to stay above the break for the most part and was not injured
