Strong South and South East winds with heavy blowing snow obscured visibility from approx 1:30 - 3pm.
Snowpack
Snow pack is thin, but supportive. Snow depth generally ranged from 30 - 80 cms. The structure of the snowpack is generally 30-40% facets near the ground, and the remaining being new snow from the past couple storms. That new snow ranges widely in depth and hardness. We had several large collapses today. We dug in near the crack of one large collapse and saw a snow depth of 65 cms on a low angle NE facing slope near 11,400. The top 30cms was 4F new snow, and the bottom 35cm was F- old snow with some large, well faceted grains at the bottom.
