Snowpack
Pockets of slab activity observed on SE-ESE terrain features. Suspected prior windloading that has developed into a more persistent layer approximately 20cm deep, with potential for propagation. Cracking and whoomphing observed. This layer was suspected to be present on various other aspects within a similar elevation band, particularly in pockets with prior suspected windloading. However, with the current melt/freeze cycles that have recently occured, this layer is easily disguised with the surrounding snowpack. Tests (ESE, 28 degree pitch) CT20, Q3. PST 55/100, 20cm deep, 04/05/20, sudden collapse, Q2.
