Clear, warm, gusty wind. Crossed a previously reported avalanche path that ran in the early March avalanche cycle. South Aspect of the path and runout BTL.. Also saw debris of another avalanche off of the East face of Clover. E aspect NTL.

Avalanche

I would guess that both avalanches ran during the early March avalanche cycle. The first ran off of the shoulder of Taylor Mountain. It was visible from Monarch Mountain and broke mid ridge and ran down into a gully and funneled across the road. Pictures of the startzone as well as debris have been previously submitted but I've attached another photo looking up the path. Many many mature trees 4-10" in diameter were broken by the slide. Path was app. 40' wide. The second avalanche was at the bottom of the East facing couloir of Clover. This is a more sparsely treed area, but large trees 8-20" in diameter had been broken y this avalanche. Again, I'm guessing that it ran in the early March avalanche cycle on an E aspect NTL. Path was app. 60' wide.
