Snowpack
I wanted to see how the low country snowpack was adjusting to the latest load, and to get a feel for coverage going into a long dry spell. Probing @ 8600' on a NNE aspect I found 165cm and at 9400' on a NE I found 190cm. At the 8600' location I dug a hasty pit and found 30cm of F, 30ish of 4F and 50+ of 1F. No readily apparent lemons or concerning interfaces, although I only dug ~120cm down. No surface cracking or collapses. Minimal evidence of wind effect on the ridge despite sparse, burned vegetation. Tolerable zipper crust on E and lower angle NE shots below 9k.
