Weather

Clear skies and warm temperatures.

Snowpack

The total snowpack depth in this area is about 100-150 cm on north-facing slopes near treeline. Ski penetration varies between 20 cm and punching through to the ground. Well-developed depth hoar makes up the lower half of the snowpack in most places I dug. In areas where the slab is supportive it fails at the depth hoar layer in extended column tests with moderate propagating results.
