Weather

Warm and wet for the entire trip. A rain snow mix (white rain) fell with little accumulation. Ridgelines were not consistently visible but winds were very light near 10,000 feet.

Snowpack

The total snow depth was between 1.5 and 2 meters of moist snow at 9,600 feet. Ski penetration was 20 centimeters. Two unreactive crust layers were obviously visible at 80 cm from the ground at 105 cm from the ground. Extended column tests produced moderate non-propagating results 40 centimeters from the snow surface, at barely distinguishable hardness change, likely from the period between early march storms. At the depth hoar, non- propagating hard results, with the block in tact after toppling.
