Beautiful sunny day. Light winds near and above treeline, clear sky, and mild temps.

Snowpack

1-2 inches of snow fell overnight. The new snow fell on firm wind-slabs at higher elevations and crusts on lower elevations. On steep slopes the new snow didn't stick well. Deepest pockets of wind-drifted snow were up to 6-8 inches and small cornices developed. The drifted snow was soft. No warming observed, but tour ended early in the day. No cracking, collapsing, or natural avalanche activity observed.

Small soft new snow avalanches were easily triggered on steep slopes.
