We found 15-20 cm of fluffy new snow in the Crownsest today and saw no new avalanches, although the high alpine was obscured. We dug down and found a very supportive midpack and had no significant results in our snowpack tests. Snow was just starting to do some cracking around our skis right at ridgetop with the moderate south west winds, but away from the ridge the snow had not formed a slab yet. We skied a steep-ish line that included some convexities. We also sledded one at a time at the bottom of an avalanche path that did not have any cornices above.
