A good example of the continued problems on Monarch pass there is still a hard layer right on the ground at the top on E-SE aspects with ~12" TG under a consolidated slab of about 10". Lots of shattering some whomping. It is easy to remotely trigger fairly large avalanches remotely. It is going to be a while before the hard ground layer improves.
