Weather

Mostly sunny. Afternoon overcast. Snowmobiling and snowboarding.

Snowpack

Soft storm snow on top of bulletproof base. Underlying layer started to soften up on sunny aspects, but seemed to stay pretty cold through the day.

Avalanche

Good 10-12” of new snow in many places above 9500’. Dry loose on N aspects on steep terrain. Snow stayed cold / great quality above 9000’ on N and sheltered areas. Morning roller balls on E aspects under exposed rocks. Storm snow got heavy by the afternoon on sunny aspects and started freezing at the end of the day. Didn’t see any slab fractures or slides. Surprisingly good conditions!
