Weather

Measured 5" of new snow (0.35" of SWE) at 10 AM. S2 to S3 for the majority of the ski tour. Winds were strong to extreme from the SW for the entire day.

Snowpack

Digging on a north slope around 11,600 feet in a deeper area, the snowpack was 150 and made mostly of facets. The 2/14 storm and today's storm sit on crusts and faceted snow. The crust from last weekend's warm-up was breaking down, but small facets were still observed in that area. Extended column test broke on these interfaces but did not propagate. Both of these layers are to be watched with today's new load.
