Variable snowpack depths ranging from 0-100 cm, depending on exposure to wind. At 1600m there was an average snow depth of about 60 cm in sheltered areas. 30cm of recent storm snow sitting on top of thick decomposing crust, on depth hoar and facets to ground. Extended column test and Rutschblock test failed within the facet layers immediately below crust, showing propogation potential.
