Weather

Skies were overcast with light thin clouds. It was cold, but warmer than yesterday. There was approx. 6cm of new snow on the skin track.

Snowpack

There was a 4F 2-3cm wind crust developing that was not at all evident when leaving the field yesterday. There was very limited cracking in that new soft crust, and in an isolated spot near the top of the ridge at 11000' on a ESE aspect we had one crack that propagated approx 2m and penetrated to just below that thin, soft wind slab.
