Weather

It was snowing hard very overcast and probably 25 degrees when we left Opas at 1. By the time we got to Express Creek near Markley it was barely snowing and had warmed to about 35 or 40. You could see the sun through the clouds by the time we got to Markley, but it was still overcast.

Snowpack

I am not a snow science expert, but the base was stable. There was about 2 inches of new light snow on the base on Monday, which warmed up with the day and got heavier. Late Monday afternoon it started snow hard and continued until we left at 1. I would call the new 8 inches we had light to medium (heavyness) snow.
