Snowpack
Moderate coverage in an alpine bowl, Stiff 2" thick breakable crust/slab at the surface sitting on approximately 2 feet of semi-cohesive snow.
Avalanche
One avalanche observed, R1 D1, NW aspect, approx. 11,600 ft elevation, slide occurred at the base of a steep rock outcrop. Slope angle approx. 32 degrees. Estimated slide date December 26th or 27th, 2017. Likely triggered due to storm and wind loading at the rock/snow interface.
