Avalanche
The area had been skied early without incident, and about 2pm two separate groups started their runs; one group of one skier and one group of two snowboarders. The snowboarders came from lookers right (see photo). Top half of the run was uneventful, but as the pitch increased one of the snowboarders triggered a wide wet slide. The slide quickly picked up speed. The second snowboarder yelled to the first with just enough time for the first to traverse out of the path, otherwise he was going to go for a ride. Once at the bottom the snowboarders saw a fresh slide with skier tracks going into the slide at the top (lookers left in the attached photo). Snowboarders hiked up to the debris field to check for the skier, but found no beacon signal nor any signs of a caught skier.
