Weather
Snowed S-1 for most of the day with periods of heavy snowfall. Winds were moderate out of the southwest and temperatures were cold.
Snowpack
Approximately 4.5" of snow fell in the past 24 in the Telluride area. As you gained elevation snow intensity increased. The snow became lower density as temperatures dropped in the afternoon. SW winds moved snow onto leeward slopes. On slopes that were bare prior to today's storm grass is still observed poking through the new snow.
Avalanche
No avalanche activity observed, but high mountain peaks were obscured most of the day.
