Snowpack
Early this morning, skinning and skiing on the north side of Loveland Pass we had dozens of shooting cracks and several loud whoomps. On a creek-bed slope, we got slabs/blocks to break and slide a few feet on facets an 1" above ground. Aspects of the whoomps and cracks were NE to N. At and above treeline, elevations from 11,500' to 12,200'. The creek-bed slope slabs/blocks was NW aspect, below treeline, at roughly 11,400'.
