Snowpack

The snow structure about halfway down Maroon Bowl absolutely just turned to a thin wind crust that was completely rotten underneath. Ran on facets to the ground. Snowpack was still very thin.

Avalanche

Avalanche occurred at treeline on n facing aspect of maroon bowl on a 36-38 degree slope and ran for 400 ft or so. Shallow persistent slab. Triggered on margin of a rock rib.
