Weather

Clear first thing in the AM, becoming overcast by mid-day, then broken in the PM. Periods of S1 snowfall before 13:00. High of -8.0C. Mostly calm winds. Some light NW valley wind late afternoon.

Snowpack

HS averaged 120cm. 16cm of recent snow since Friday overlying 8cm of older snow from earlier in the week. Snowpack showing more structure and strength in Wolverine than closer to town or in Washington Gulch or on Snodrass. Snowpack tests on a NW aspect @ 10,040ft showed no propagating failures with ECT nor any sudden results w/ CT. Tilt test showed poor bond of this week’s snow w/ underlying facets 24cm below the surface. Surface layers were not cohesive. Skied slopes up to 35° w/ no sluffing.
