Weather
Broken skies and warm temperatures in the valley. The winds were very strong at valley level, so I estimate they were in the 30 mile per hour range at the ridge tops. There was quite a big dust cloud in the south side of the San Louis Valley.
Snowpack
I did not complete any detailed snowpack observations, but the snow was concentrated in lee-facing gullies and other protected areas. I did not see any avalanche activity.
Avalanche
I looked through field glasses from the highway and did not note any avalanche activity.
