Weather

New snow varied with elevation. Around 10,000 feet only 3 or 4 inches of new fell in the past 24 hours. Snow totals increased as we went up in elevation. Guessing 6-8 above 11,000 ft.

Snowpack

HN24 varied from 3"-8". The new snow bonded well at lower elevations were if fell on a moist snow surface. Reactive cornices have formed on ridgelines and on terrain features that area pron to cross-loading. The new snow sluffed on slopes steeper than about 35 degrees. Deepest pockets of snow on NE aspects just below ridgelines. The snow had a creamy skiing texture.
