Snowpack

Skied far skiers left in 7th bowl of the anthracites today. No cracking or whumphing on the skin up and found the snow to be quite hollow from the feel of my ski pole. Once on the ridge and getting ready to drop, we felt whumphing or colapsing of the snowpack. Snowpack was deep and we did not experience any movement or instabilities while skiing. Moderate to heavy snowfall all day, with calm winds- 10ish mph. Reported was a skier triggered avy in rock chute, with a 3' crown.
