Stormy and moody day (felt like the really deep days from November and December again). Wind loading was in full effect with mod-strong SW winds. I triggered an avalanche inbounds from the first convex roll of Eye Candy. It propagated very easily and the avy ran full width (about 20m), full length (80m) and 45cm deep. It ran quickly with lots of mass to it. In bigger terrain it would have been a destructive one. It ran on the previous interface of wind affected snow. There was 65cm of new snow and 45cm in less sheltered terrain in and above Shames BTL around 2pm, so it’s real deep out there. It kept snowing heavily when I headed home end of pm. Play safe,
