High effort, low rewards

Skied a south facing slope up Hellroaring Br C. Estimated 35-40cm new snow since the past Monday. Difficult trail breaking on the sleds and the skis. Ski pen was 30-40cm. Bit of an upside down snow pack with 10-15cm low density snow over a heavier layer which was sitting on more low density snow. CTE(1) down 20cm and CTE(3) down 55cm. HS at 1950m was 200cm. Stopped our ascent around 2170m due to heavier, wind affected snow/drifts and a waning energy levels. Light to moderate winds out of the west. No oblivious signs of instability and no natural activity noted
