Cautiously investigated the classic SE face of Jimmy Junior, finding evidence of the previously reported cornice-triggered Sz 2 slide. Skinning this bedding surface then booting through rocks to avoid a loaded section gave access to the upper face which was heavily wind affected as expected (ski crampons required). After a short, rocky bootpack to the summit, we found surprisingly enjoyable skiing on supportive crusts and pockets of overlaid soft snow, avoiding the steep convex roll to skier's left. We retraced our ascent route to treeline then skied good, occasionally crusty snow down the east-facing avalanche gully to the road. Sunny with some westerly winds and rapid cooling at sunset.
