Chilly morning, -15 at the car at 9 AM. Trees are a luge track as everyone else has reported. Crust in the trees and surface hoar in exposed areas below treeline. In the alpine snow was wind affected and quite variable, changing from step to step. Surface hoar in some areas, wind blown crust in others, and pockets of deep sugary snow in sheltered areas (mostly on shaded NE aspects).
