Big loop in the lizard range today. Saw some old natural debris from the last storm cycle, size 2 persistent slabs 60-100cm deep triggered by cornice fall, one of these naturals out of each bowl north from the resort. Very consistent, almost identical avys with long run lengths terminating on large benches. Not much wind affect below 2000m, evidence of preferential distribution during the storm but no blowing snow since. Not a breath of wind today Strong solar was keeping us warm but the snow surface remained cold! No signs of instability in the chutes around 1800m, we avoided larger slopes above 1800m, and gave them a wide berth while travelling.

Dug on N aspect at 1700m to investigate the Pwl. 60cm of unconsolidated fist density Faceting storm snow sitting on 15cm of wind pressed facets pencil density with consolidated facets below starting at 4 finger and increasing in density towards the ground. No results on ect or column test, storm snow tends to run away like sand while cutting your block and did not exhibit any slab properties. Only notable we got was on a CT 25cm down mid storm interface with 1mm facets and 2mm graupel in a 5cm layer that settled and broke apart under moderate load.
