More Elkford, More Elevation

Another 15 cm overnight for the Elkford area. We took skis along with the sled today and used good terrain management to get up to the treeline, alpine interface for some observations. There was snow being transported at ridge tops and cornices were building. We saw one recent cornice triggered avalanche amongst multitude of crowns from earlier this week, but often the visibility was obscured. We checked out the snowpack on a north aspect and it looked much like our video yesterday.
