Very cold and quiet day up Iago ridge. Good riding in sheltered areas. Exposed areas affected by northeast winds. Shooting cracks observed when skinning across a steep convex slope. Wind slab forming on surface of snow. Snow depth varies from 1.7m in sheltered areas near the col and north bowl to 1.2m in exposed areas of the ridge.. Moderate wind depositing snowing throughout the day partly filling skin track between runs.

Very cold day with moderate wind blowing snow. temperatures were measured around -12C without wind chill.

Snowpack

1.7m HS in sheltered areas at the Iago-Zupjok col and the Iago N bowl. 1.2m HS along exposed areas of the Iago N ridge. Wind affected slab forming at snow surface. Wind slab is more prominent in exposed ridgeline areas but a thin, relatively soft crust was forming in the graded north bowl.
