At 2050 meters we had a significant whumpf on a South aspect close to Lepso. Above 1900 meters, even on the South we noticed the absence of denser almost 'bridging like' layers in the snowpack. The lower snowpack is still upside down and faceted. Above 1900 meters on East aspect it was quite wind slabby, with visible snow transport. Wind slab was fairly touchy and was willing to propagate so we stayed away from it. Ski quality here was also not that good. We rode SE aspect up to 2100 and was great skiing. At treeline we had at least CONSIDERABLE conditions. Chance the windslab could trigger into the deeper faceted layers.
