Schmooey Steep Creek

“It’s good to be out,” “I’ve had worse,” these were some of the things we said to each other this afternoon. After two days of finding great riding at upper elevations it was much warmer today. Last night’s re-freeze was quite weak. The cooling breeze of the last few days gave way to still air, and loose wet avalanches could be heard rumbling in the distance. We don’t have any skiing photos because the riding quality got pretty bad and we were just survival smearing around in mushy knee tweaking snow, even on a north facing feature at 2000 m. Tonight into tomorrow gets even warmer. I don’t think you could convince me to go skiing tomorrow. Time for bikes?
