Two hand tests on short slopes lee to the overnight NE outflow on the way to the profile location both showed a clean fast shear approx 35 from the surface. I didn’t look with a magnifier but I thought that may have been on the surface hoar (SH) layer reported in another MIN report on Tuesday the 22nd. it was a whumph-free day! Please don’t leave your orange peels on the snow! They don’t decompose and birds don’t eat them, so the entire winter’s accumulation ends up as a mess on the ground in the summertime. Thanks!
