With limited visibility and considerable hazard we chose low angle terrain in powder valley for the morning sled mission. The treeline sledding terrain in powder Valley has survived the winds! Really warm today (for the Yukon) with a daily high temp of -0.5c! On average there’s 115cm of snow in the low angle treeline terrain with the alpine scoured by winds. 20cm of snow fell with moderate south winds throughout the day. On average 55cm of powder sits on a breakable crust with sugary facets below. If you get stuck you’re really stuck! The access road is in good shape.
