Heavens gate slide

Stepped heavily on a wind formation on a NE ridge feature today that triggered a slab avalanche on the pre storm surface hoar pictured. All day there were clear signs of instability on what seems to be a widespread layer of surface hoar. Even low angle and densely treed areas were breaking off. Very touchy!
