She’s cooked! Huge difference from yesterday. Mashed potatoes up to 1750m, raining below 1500m. Fresh snow from last night was sticking to skins on way up, riding on the way down was challenging to say the least. Pin wheeling was occurring everywhere and steep faces on all aspects were shedding debris. No signs of any avalanches today but it seems ripe for them.. dug a pit on a north aspect see separate tab

Pit on a north face in open trees looking for the SH. Had one CTM 15 SP @30cm , CTM 18 SP @65cm, and CTH 20 SP @100cm on a large defined layer of SH. Comparing to the SE pit from yesterday, this was considerably less bonded.
