Rogers PWL wakes up. AST2 Summary

Dec 3/4/5 Rogers pass - Connaught creek, Avalanche Crest, Illecillewaet River/ Sir Donald summer trail. Found consistent positive ECT findings for 3 days - ECTP, moderate and hard, down 45 cm, on SH; whumpfing on flats; no other significant signs of instability at the PWL moving through terrain. Dec 6. Checking out complex terrain. We were turned back by a series of factors: a remote trigger pillow collapse at the PWL on SH - 2x2 meter pillow in a terrain trap (gully), shooting cracks from skin track, warming temp trend (-8 C highest), snow loading - approx 20 cm in 24 hrs. Findings at 1550 - 1700m. Otherwise winds were light from west, sun effect minimal.
