Skiing above 1800m was great. 15cm of fresh powder over a thick crust. Skiing below 1600m was 1cm dust on thick icy crust. Below 1300m had to walk.

Large avalanche on Joffre NE face as shown in the pictures. Unknown when it came down but probably a few days ago when it was warmer. There was also another similar sized avalanche came down anniversary glacier on the skiers right side. No photos sorry. And many smaller recent avalanches in the area. No sign of avalanche activity while we were on the mountain 3rd and 4th feb.
