Broken clouds all morning clearing to scattered by noon. Cold and moderate winds along ridgeline with moderate snow transport.
Snowpack
On wind-loaded slopes, there were about 15-20cm of F-hard (on the hand hardness scale) precipitation particles and decomposing fragmented grains resting on top of the dust-filled melt-freeze crust (MFcr) prior to this weekend's snow. On southerly and westerly slopes there was around 5-10cm of new snow on the old MFcr. The dust crust remained moist and around P-hard on the hand hardness scale making for very enjoyable skiing. The new snow did not bond well to the dust crust at all and it is very easy to kick sluffs loose on any slope steeper than 40 degrees including low-elevation northerly-facing slopes.
Avalanche
Triggered several small Loose Wet avalanches on steep slopes of all aspects and watched several happen naturally as the sun came out around 11:30 AM.
