Weather
Clear skies, high temps in the single digits, and moderate SW winds. Plenty of wind transport going on at treeline. 1" of new snow with 0.05" of water content.
Snowpack
Found some moderate cracking (more than 2'. but less than 6') in fresh windloading near treeline on a NE aspect. Tests below treeline on a north aspect produced insignificant sluffing. No other signs of instability.
Avalanche
Observed natural avalanche activity from the recent storm was limited to one fairly large slab on Saddle Mtn, an ENE aspect above treeline about 8+ miles W of Wolf Creek Pass.
