Weather

At 10:00 sky mostly clear and winds calm. By 3:00 pm the sky was overcast and snowing steadily (S1).

Snowpack

Recent storm snow has increased in density greatly since yesterday. Hand shear tests revealed a failure plan in storm snow from the past 3 days.

Avalanche

During our tour we saw numerous small avalanches in the recent storm snow. Aspects were South throuh East and slides were seen NTL and ATL. The slabs were relatively shallow (aproximately 20cm) and seemed to be at the level of a density change in recent storm snow. The snow from recent storms showed only light wind effect but it has settled and increased density noticably in the past 24 hours.
