Weather

The temperature remained in the single digits for the trip. Winds were calm, with very light amounts of snow being blown on southern ridge of Sopris by westerly winds.

Snowpack

The snowpack consisted of less than 12" along the trail. The trip was cut short, about a mile past the wilderness boundary, due to a lack of snow to travel on as the trail left the creek bottom onto a southern aspect. The recent storm totals were significantly lighter here than in other portions of the zone <6".
