Patchy skies with some light orographic showers. Light winds at ridgetop.
Snowpack
Below treeline the snowpack barley or rarely supports a skier, and is faceted top to bottom. In most places ground hazards are still abundant, and snow depths range from 50-60cm. Near treeline elevations are holding the most continuous snow cover and contain a mixed bag of buried slabs. In open areas near ridges or mid-elevation bowls, super hard slabs ranging in thickness are buried just below recent storm snow. These are spotty and not very well connected across terrain. In other areas at this elevation, weakened mid-pack slabs are still hanging in there, but would be unlikely to cause an avalanche. Overall, it may take quite a bit of snow to reform the dangerous conditions we had a few weeks ago. We have the weak snow, we just need a new slab or two to form on top.
